The HPVC (High Performance Vehicle Computer) team at U Power is responsible for designing and architecting the high-performance central computing system for next generation vehicles with a scalable range of autonomous driving capabilities from automated to autonomous, and developing core components (including hardware, software, tools) from the ground up. Our mission is to innovate next-generation vehicle architecture and make it happen on mass-produced vehicles.As a Senior HPC Test Engineer, you will;

  • Perform bench/vehicle execution, generate related test artifacts, communicate/document findings, and report on a consistent basis.
  • Write test scripts for diagnostics as well as tracing equipment.
  • Utilize test design techniques to ensure proper test case coverage and traceability.
  • Support system integration team with test vehicle commissioning, including interface and functional checks for all cross-domain touch points and regression testing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with system design, integration, functional safety, HIL, and validation teams across the organization to verify system design. Coordinate changes as necessary.
  • Adhere to test plans with inputs such as requirement feature release plan, software release notes, and focus on relevant testing as per project milestones.
  • Review requirements and create test cases to satisfy all applicable criteria for ADAS and Self-Driving related sub-systems.Qualifications:
    • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering /Computer Science or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 5 years as a Test Engineer or similar role.
    • Experience in high-performance compute and high-speed interfacing (sensor integration, camera, radar, GMSL, PCIE).
    • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, communication protocols, (CAN, Ethernet, automotive ethernet) and relevant debug tools.
    • Hands-on experience testing complex systems involving multiple ECUs with interfaces to various vehicle sub-systems.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
    • Must be self-driven, a team player and willing to take ownership.
    • Strong experience with engineering tools such as dSpace, Vector, National Instruments(LabVIEW), ECU-Test.
    • Experience with script tools such as python, CAPL or any in house tools.
    • Able to familiarize quickly with lab-level PC-based diagnostics tools provided by chip vendors for chip- resp. Bus-diagnostics.
    • -Quickly adapts to new tools, seeks and maintains tight relationship with vendor FAEs, creates load- and diagnostic-test-profiles over time (for e.g. PCIe, Eth, GMSL Interfaces) -Preferred Qualifications:
      • Minimum 2 years' experience with automotive vehicle systems or similar applications
      • Experience with current ADAS features and technologies.
      • Strong understanding of automotive hardware and software development processes.
      • Knowledge of Nvidia architecture
