Job Description:

--- 4 year degree (Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or similar preferred) and at least 5 years of experience in professional video engineering--- 4 years or more of direct experience in system engineering and/or other technical customer support in broadcast or OTT industry --- Strong experience with video codecs, and compression standards such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC --- Hands-on experience working with cloud services, AWS preferred --- Experience integrating/consuming REST APIs --- Knowledge of common video analysis tools, particularly focused in file-based workflows --- Experience debugging and troubleshooting video encoding and streaming problems --- Experience with FFMPEG at the command line --- Experience coding in one or more scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.) --- Experience working with streaming technologies and protocols including HLS and MPEG-DASH --- Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Markdown, etc --- Self-motivated and self-disciplined --- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve goals established in a team environment --- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, both functionally and geographically --- High competency in written and verbal English Desired Competencies: --- Knowledge of Streaming, Broadcast, MVPD content distribution systems and architectures is very desirable --- Knowledge of closed captioning and subtitle formats --- Amazon AWS experience (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, etc.) is very desirable --- Software portfolio (via Github or similar) is desirable --- Experience with DRM technologies --- Experience writing technical documentation --- Knowledge of Dolby's products, technologies and customers --- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% - domestically and internationally External Job DescriptionExternal Job Description section. 2 of 2.
