Summary: Gardenland is looking for an individual to provide administrative office support. We are looking for a responsible and trustworthy individual to handle aspects of data entry, filing, and general office tasks. This is a part-time position. Gardenland has been in business since 1960 and services the greater bay area. Responsibilities: Answering and directing phone calls Taking and distributing messages Checking and entering data Track Sales Orders and Purchase Orders Making phone calls/sending emails to customers and vendors Typing documents and correspondence Updating and maintaining databases Photocopying, scanning, faxing and filing Other assigned duties as required Requirements: Office Assistant experience - minimum of 1-2 years of experience Must have strong computer skills; experience with MS Word/Excel Good communication, writing, and organizational skills required Critical reasoning, good work ethics, and team player Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and planning skills Knowledge of office etiquette and telephone protocol needed as well Spanish speaking a plus Education: High School diploma or higher
