  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in Management Consulting, Product Management, Engineering, or Operations roles, within a technical organization.
  • 15 years of experience managing organizational change management or transformation initiatives.
  • 15 years of experience leading operational initiatives and core business planning.
    Preferred qualifications:
    • Experience partnering with dynamic leaders of complex organizations and navigating through rapidly changing environments, influencing without authority, and driving higher levels of execution velocity and quality.
    • Experience operating at large-scale, complex organizations, especially with significant cross-functional, product, technical, or operational elements.
    • Experience motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of outlook and inspiring others to follow while developing and fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional partners.
    • Ability to have a high aptitude for managing needs and prioritizing cross-functional executive stakeholders.
      About the jobIn this role, you will drive the creation and implementation of a strategic roadmap for the program management office (PMO), support program management excellence across Core, and design and implement complex programs from inception to successful landing in collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations across all of Core's pillars. You will design and implement processes and solutions that accelerate execution against Core's highest priorities, enabling tighter connection and more effective prioritization across all of the teams in the Core organization and Google.In this role, you will influence leaders and teams, which includes getting buy-in for long-term solutions that might compete with existing plans and roadmaps, and getting a commitment from multiple stakeholders. You will act as a trusted advisor to the PMO lead, and in some instances be called upon to act as a proxy.The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google's products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $226,000-$338,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.       Responsibilities
      • Serve as a strategic thought partner and catalyst to the PMO Director and PMO leadership team.
      • Define and implement a Core PMO roadmap and strategy to deliver exceptional program management across Core, simplify workflows, drive focus and prioritization, and elevate the PMO's impact.
      • Implement, oversee, and synthesize learnings from PMO-wide processes and initiatives (i.e., organizational health evaluations, maturity assessments, state of the union exercises, Quarterly Business Reviews, etc.).
      • Own and drive Core PMO business and operational cadence (e.g., strategic planning, Objectives and Key Results processes, leadership meetings and summits, Googler Reviews And Development (GRAD), etc.).
      • Manage a Strategy and Operations team responsible for PMO business planning and core operations, communications, headcount management, space planning, location strategy, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion activities, etc.
