Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in the payments, money transmitter or banking industry acting as a Compliance Officer. Experience with US AML, Sanctions and/or Know Your Customer regulations. Preferred qualifications: CAMS certification. Experience leading teams with a clear, strategic vision, always keeping the quality and scalability of your processes in mind. Experience in coordinating and managing projects, setting policies, controls and systems and managing risks associated with the business. Ability to improve efficiency of processes and make them scalable. Ability to build trusting relationships with your team and your peer group. About the job The Payments Compliance team executes our compliance processes and provides business advice to the operations on a global basis. The team’s main responsibilities are to ensure the business is in compliance with its regulatory and financial obligations, provide business advice for the rollout of new features and products globally, ensure internal controls, systems, financial and regulatory policies are properly implemented, and monitor, report on and help manage business risks related to the Play and Company Pay business. As the Chief Compliance Officer for Payments, you will help us safely deliver and manage our complex set of transactions, processes and business needs in a safe compliant fashion. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. Responsibilities Interface with multiple functional areas to develop and implement globally scalable compliance systems, controls and reporting metrics, including Product Management, Engineering, Legal, Operations, Finance and Internal Audit. Monitor and report on product compliance on an ongoing basis and provide ongoing advice, resolve escalations and course correction to functional leaders and Board of Directors. Update the Anti Money Laundering (AML) program to Payment entity Boards annually. Conduct Executive and Board training on compliance requirements, industry trends and enforcement actions across the industry. Implement global policies and procedures in compliance with AML, Sanctions, Know Your Customer (KYC) as well as other regulatory obligations applied to the money transmission industry. Provide periodic thorough reporting to service managers and senior company managers on the state of our compliance efforts. Maintain records, perform filing and provide reporting to regulatory agencies as required by law and to banking partners as required. Interface with regulators, banking partners, processors and auditors to apply for new licenses, address issues and manage exams and audits. Monitor changes in industry regulations and modify policies, procedures and systems as necessary.
